I often say to everyone, and will post here over and over again about how important it is to network. But also to keep in contact with your network via phone calls, emails, or personal visits.

People everyday are looking for what you are offering as a business or even as a person, and advertising doesn’t always get that across. Your friends, family members, and business partners in your network can convey your specialness to others out there for you while they keep in contact with their network as well.

So keep a tight ship and make it happen captain!

Business Gets Done When You Return A Phone Call.

It seems now a day that while people make a call to reach out to a business for a needed service or product that many businesses don’t call back, or even make a follow-up call to see how their customers are doing.

A simple return call doesn’t take much time but can go a long way in either creating goodwill or even correcting an issue with a product before it turns a bad review and ends up all over the internet.

Training your sales force or even implementing a call schedule for yourself to your customers can and will go a long way and can even turn a non-sale into the sale or an up-sale which benefits all involved.

I am still trying to raise capital to open my bar, so I am selling off so many things.

I have two t-shirt start ups for sale with 30 designs and extras that I am willing to sell for the right price.

Also I have the domain www.joinamafia.com for sale. I am looking to get $200,000 for it, but will go lower if the price is right, so make me an offer I can’t refuse.

Lose your attitude!

I am thankful I have a job in this tough economy, and everyone else should too. Employment is so high everywhere you go these days and yet some people that deal directly with the consumers are still giving bad attitudes toward them. I know lots of people that have gotten laid off from a high paying job and would be happy with a minimum wage job, even working at the mall for the holiday season. And yet when I go to a restaurant for lunch/dinner, mall shopping, or even to ship somthing, I catch attitude. Now granted I know everyone has a bad day, and you can tell when that is happening. But when I get my order taken badly cause they person behind the counter is bitching to the other worker about how bad their job sucks, given wrong change, or even given an attitude when I ask for something in a different color or size, that has nothing to do with a bad day.

So Mr./Mrs. CSR shape up or ship out, because I know millions of people out there that would be happy to take your job, and do it everyday with a smile on their face.

I am sure all of us have read Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. Whether we read it as a child or read it to our children, it has come across our eyes. But have you ever thought about using it as a sales reference? A friend of mine brought it to my attention one day when we were discussing sales tactics at work. I asked him why he carried it with him and his simple response was “To make me a better sales person.” I had never looked at it in that context before. If you break it down to its simpliest form, Sam-I-Am is a sales person trying to get green eggs and ham sold, and he never gave up. He presented it in every light possible, to a stubborn guy, who seemed like he couldn’t be sold. But that is where the beauty lies, the challenge to over come. He was not rude just a little over bearing, but he knew what his goal was, to get that dish sold! So next time you come across a person that is in front of you or on the phone, no doesn’t always mean no. Maybe they haven’t gotten all the info they need or they haven’t actually tasted what you are selling, so give them all the info possible, because it breaks down to the 3 p’s; Person, Product, or Price.
